In late November, 2009, I had a business trip to Tokyo, Japan. I gave a technical talk about Panasas on Friday, and then had the weekend before more customer meetings the following week. I was able to travel to Mt. Fuji, Hakone, and Owakadani, and then visit the Imperial Palace Gardens over the weekend. The clear picture of Mt Fuji below is from the high speed train trip I took to Nagoya. The bus tour I took right to the mountain didn't have as much luck with the weather, as you'll see on the next page. The picture with the steam rising is Owakadani, which is a site where volcanic activity near the surface creates natural hot springs. The resorts all around Hakone use this hot water.
I also took a lot of pictures of food, because it is so interesting and often very beautiful.
